Pricing & Fees

$0.75 CAD per ticket sold — that's it.

Bloom charges a flat $0.75 CAD per ticket. On top of that, Stripe's standard card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 CAD applies. There are no monthly fees, no setup fees, and no hidden charges.

A 3% service fee applies to add-on sales. The standard $0.75 fee applies only to tickets.

Free events are completely free — Bloom charges nothing on $0 tickets.

Eventbrite typically charges $1.29 + 3.5% of the ticket price as a service fee, plus 2.9% card processing. On a $50 ticket, that's roughly $4.24 in fees.

With Bloom on a $50 ticket, you'd pay $0.75 + $1.75 (2.9% + $0.30) = ~$2.50 — nearly half the cost.

No. Bloom is pay-as-you-sell. You only pay when a ticket is purchased. There are no monthly plans, no seat limits, and no contracts.

Yes! Registered non-profit organizations are eligible for a 20% rebate on Bloom's ticketing fees. Contact us with your organization details to get this applied to your account.

Yes. When setting up your event you can choose whether fees are absorbed by you (the organizer) or passed on to attendees at checkout. Buyers will see a clear breakdown before completing their purchase.

Getting Started

  1. Create a free Bloom account — it takes under two minutes.
  2. Connect your Stripe account (or create one) to receive payouts.
  3. Create your first event from the host dashboard.
  4. Share your event page link — Bloom handles everything else.

Yes. Bloom uses Stripe Connect to process payments and send payouts directly to your bank account. You can create a free Stripe account during the Bloom onboarding process — it only takes a few minutes.

Yes, Bloom is only for Canadian events.

Creating your Bloom account takes under 2 minutes. Connecting Stripe typically takes 5–10 minutes. Once both are done, you can publish an event immediately.

Event Setup

  • Event name, date, start and end time
  • Venue / location (address or virtual link)
  • Event description
  • Ticket pricing and capacity
  • Optional: event banner image, custom colour theme

You can save events as a draft and publish them whenever you're ready.

Yes. You can add custom checkout questions to your event — such as dietary preferences, T-shirt sizes, accessibility needs, or anything else you need from attendees. Responses are available in your guest list export.

Yes. You can enable "names each" mode so buyers must enter a name for every ticket in their order — ideal for galas, seated events, or any event where individual attendee names matter for check-in.

Or you can collect just one name for the entire order — your choice.

Yes. Events can be set to unlisted, meaning they won't appear on any public host profile or search — only people with the direct link can access and purchase tickets. Perfect for private events, invite-only launches, or beta sales.

You can issue full or partial refunds directly from your Bloom dashboard. You can also send a bulk email update to all ticket holders from the Email Marketing tool. If you need to issue mass refunds, contact our support team and we'll help.

Multi-Day Events & Series Passes

A multi-day series lets you sell tickets for a festival, conference, or weekend event that runs across multiple dates — all managed under one event name in your dashboard.

Each day is its own occurrence with its own date, time, and ticket pricing. Shared details like your event name, description, branding, fees, and taxes apply across the whole series.

  1. From the host dashboard, start creating a new event.
  2. Under Schedule type, choose Multi-day series.
  3. Add each day with its start date, end date, and times.
  4. Set ticket pricing for each day — single price, tiered, free, or pay-what-you-can.
  5. Optionally add a series pass (see below).
  6. Publish when every day (and pass, if added) has pricing configured.

You can save as a draft while you build out all your days.

Yes — every day in a multi-day series has its own pricing.

Friday can be tiered with Early Bird and GA, Saturday can be a flat single price, and Sunday can be free with a capacity limit — all within the same series. Set pricing day-by-day in the create wizard, then review or edit each day from Manage Events after publishing.

Volume discounts and promo codes can be configured per day. Multi-day series do not use a single event-wide capacity limit across tiers — capacity is managed per tier on each day. A series pass has its own inventory and does not share capacity with any day.

After you add at least two days, you can create a series pass — a single ticket type that spans your first day’s start through your last day’s end (for example, a “Weekend Pass”).

  • Give it a custom name (e.g. Fall Fest Weekend Pass).
  • Set its own ticket pricing and capacity separately from individual days. Pass inventory and per-day inventory are separate: selling a pass does not reduce tickets left on a day, and selling a day ticket does not reduce the pass.
  • Optionally set when pass sales open and close in the pass modal.

The pass appears as its own option alongside individual days on your event page. Pass dates automatically update when you add or edit days in the series. Ticket sales end for the pass is finalized when you publish — based on your last day unless you set a custom close date in the pass modal.

Up to 10 days per multi-day series. A series pass, if you add one, does not count toward that limit — it is an extra ticket product on top of your individual days.

Yes. From Manage Events, switch between days using the day chips or dropdown at the top of the editor. You can edit each day’s details and pricing independently.

To remove a single day, use Delete this day — the rest of the series stays live, including any series pass. Pass schedule dates sync from the first and last remaining days when you save, as long as at least two regular days are left.

To remove the entire festival at once, choose Delete entire series.

On your public event page, buyers see a day switcher listing each date (and your series pass, if offered). They pick the day or pass they want, then select a ticket tier and check out as usual.

Each purchase is tied to the specific day or pass they selected. Your host profile lists the series as one card showing the full date range and day count.

Check-in is per day on the web QR scanner and in the Bloom check-in app. Select the day you are scanning before guests arrive. A ticket sold for one day only works when that day is selected.

A series pass also checks in when any day of that same series is selected. The success message names the pass, for example “GA · Weekend pass,” so door staff can see it is a pass and not a single-day ticket. Checking the pass in marks that ticket used, so it will not scan again on another day.

Yes. Multi-day series can be shared to LampPost the same way as single-day events, as long as your event is published and in a supported city. LampPost discovery links back to your Bloom event page where buyers can browse all days and passes.

Tickets & Pricing Tiers

Absolutely. Bloom supports up to 15 pricing tiers per event — each with its own name, price, capacity, description, sale window, and visibility rules. Common examples: Early Bird, General Admission, VIP, Student, Group, Table, etc.

With PWYC mode, buyers choose their own price at checkout (between a range you set as the host). Great for community events, fundraisers, or sliding-scale pricing. Bloom handles the variable amount automatically.

Each tier can have an end date or a capacity limit. When a tier sells out or expires, the next tier automatically becomes available to buyers — with no manual intervention needed. You can also set a tier to only show after the previous one closes.

Yes. Each tier has a configurable max tickets per order setting to prevent bulk buying or scalping.

Yes. Immediately after purchase, each buyer receives a confirmation email with their QR-code ticket(s). The email also includes event details. Tickets are ready for mobile or print.

Payments & Payouts

Payouts go directly to your connected bank account via Stripe on Stripe's standard schedule (typically 2–7 business days depending on your country and bank). You don't wait until after the event — funds flow as tickets are sold.

Bloom's checkout is powered by Stripe, which accepts:

  • All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)
  • Apple Pay & Google Pay (where supported)
  • Link (Stripe's one-click checkout)

You can issue full or partial refunds directly from your Bloom dashboard on a per-order basis. Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on the buyer's card within 5–10 business days.

Promo Codes & Discounts

Yes. You can create unlimited promo codes with:

  • Percentage or fixed dollar discounts
  • Optional expiry dates
  • Targeted to specific events or for all events

Buyers enter the code at checkout and the discount is applied instantly.

Volume discounts automatically reward buyers who purchase multiple tickets in one order. You set the rules — for example:

  • Buy 4+ tickets → 10% off
  • Buy 10+ tickets → $5.00 off per ticket

Discounts can be percentage-based or a fixed dollar amount per ticket, and can apply to all tiers or specific tiers. Buyers see the available discounts on your event page before purchasing.

Yes. Bloom supports tracking links — unique URLs you can give to promoters, influencers, or partners. Every ticket sale from that link is tracked separately, so you know exactly which promoter drove which sales.

Check-In & Door Management

Bloom includes a built-in mobile check-in app. At the door, you can:

  • Scan QR codes on digital or printed tickets
  • Search by name and manually check in attendees
  • See real-time attendance counts

Each ticket's QR code is unique and single-use to prevent fraud.

Yes. Multiple devices can access the check-in app at the same time — the guest list updates in real time across all sessions, so you never accidentally check in the same person twice.

No problem. You can search for the attendee by name in the check-in app and manually mark them as checked in. You can also view the full guest list and look up any order.

Yes. Export your full guest list as a CSV from the dashboard at any time. The export includes buyer names, emails, ticket tier, check-in status, and any custom question responses you collected.

Tap to Pay on iPhone & Android

Tap to Pay lets you accept contactless cards and digital wallets at your event using only a phone — no separate card reader required.

Bloom supports both platforms through the check-in app:

  • Tap to Pay on iPhone — accept payments on a compatible iPhone
  • Tap to Pay on Android — accept payments on a compatible NFC-enabled Android device

Payments run through your existing Stripe account connected to Bloom, so in-person sales stay tied to the same payout setup as your online ticket sales.

The account admin (primary host) must enable Tap to Pay in the Bloom check-in app.

Setup is done once per Bloom account in the Bloom check-in app (iPhone or Android), not from the web dashboard. The admin completes Stripe Terminal setup steps there — including business location details and accepting Tap to Pay terms — so in-person payments can run on your connected Stripe account.

Staff sub-accounts cannot complete this setup. Only the primary host account can register the Terminal location and turn on Tap to Pay for the organization.

Yes. After the admin finishes setup in the check-in app, staff can sign in to the same Bloom check-in app on iPhone or Android with their staff credentials and take contactless payments at the door alongside QR check-in.

Staff do not need to repeat Terminal registration or accept terms again — they use Tap to Pay on devices logged into your team account once the admin has enabled it.

  • A Bloom host account with Stripe payouts connected
  • The Bloom check-in app, signed in as the account admin for first-time setup
  • A valid business address for your Stripe Terminal location when prompted in the app
  • Either:
    • An iPhone that supports Tap to Pay on iPhone (compatible model and iOS version), or
    • An Android phone with NFC that supports Tap to Pay on Android (compatible device and Android version)

If setup is incomplete, the check-in app will guide the admin through the remaining steps before staff can charge cards in person.

Yes. Once Tap to Pay is enabled for your Bloom account, different staff members can take in-person payments on whichever supported device they have — iPhone or Android — at the same event.

All door sales still flow through your connected Stripe account and appear in your Bloom dashboard analytics alongside online ticket revenue.

Analytics & Reporting

Your Bloom dashboard includes a full analytics suite:

  • Revenue over time — daily/weekly charts
  • Ticket sales by tier — see which tiers are selling fastest
  • Promo code performance — track which codes drive the most sales
  • Buyer location map — see where your attendees are coming from (city/region level, opt-in)
  • Page views vs. conversions — measure how well your event page converts
  • Transaction history — full log of every sale, refund, and payout

Yes, via tracking links. Create a unique link per channel (e.g. Instagram, email newsletter, Facebook ad) and Bloom tracks how many tickets were sold through each source.

Bloom also attributes purchases from checkout recovery emails and new-event follower emails, so you can see how many sales those emails drove in Analytics.

Yes. If a buyer starts checkout but doesn't finish, Bloom can send a short checkout recovery email with a link back to your event so they can complete their purchase.

This is on by default for each event and can be turned off in Advanced settings. Recovered sales show up in your Analytics under Checkout Recovery.

No — location tracking is an opt-in feature per event. You enable it in your event's Advanced Options. When enabled, Bloom resolves the approximate city/region from the buyer's billing address at purchase time. No GPS or device location is used.

LampPost Discovery

LampPost Social is a local event discovery platform — a feed, calendar, and newsletter where tens of thousands of Canadians browse what's happening in their city.

Bloom integrates with LampPost so hosts can list published events for free local discovery. LampPost sends interested locals to your Bloom event page; you keep full control of ticketing, pricing, and payouts on Bloom.

Learn more about LampPost →

You can share events to LampPost from Bloom when your event location is in a supported metro:

  • Victoria
  • Vancouver
  • Calgary
  • Montreal

LampPost is expanding to more cities (including Toronto). When Bloom adds support for a new metro, the "Share on LampPost" option will appear automatically for events in that area.

  1. Publish your event on Bloom (events must be live — drafts can't be shared).
  2. When your event is in a supported city, Bloom prompts you to "Share on LampPost" after publishing, or you can share anytime from the event's Manage page.
  3. Connect your LampPost account (sign in if you already have one, or create one in a few steps).
  4. Confirm — your listing goes live on LampPost and links back to your Bloom ticketing page.

Sharing is always opt-in. Bloom never lists your event on LampPost without your confirmation.

No — listing on LampPost through Bloom is free.

Bloom's standard ticketing fees still apply when tickets are sold on your Bloom page. There is no separate LampPost listing charge from Bloom.

Yes. The first time you share an event, Bloom walks you through connecting your LampPost account — sign in with an existing LampPost password, or register as a new LampPost host in the modal.

Once linked, future events can be shared in one click without re-entering credentials. Your LampPost session is managed securely on Bloom's servers; tokens are never exposed in the browser.

No. LampPost is for discovery only. All ticket sales, checkout, refunds, and Stripe payouts happen on Bloom exactly as they would without LampPost.

Buyers who find your event on LampPost are sent to your Bloom event page to purchase tickets.

Yes. After your event is shared on LampPost, Bloom's analytics include a LampPost marketing tab on the Manage Events page — conversions, revenue from LampPost-attributed buyers, and discovery metrics from your listing.

This helps you measure whether local discovery is driving ticket sales beyond your own promotion channels.

Customization & Branding

Yes — that's one of Bloom's core principles. You can add:

  • Your own banner/header image
  • Custom event colour theme
  • Your organization's logo
  • A rich-text event description with links

Bloom's logo does not appear on your event page. Your brand is always front and centre.

Yes. Every Bloom host gets a public profile page (bloomtickets.ca/hostinfo/[your-id]) that lists all your upcoming and past events. Share it on social media or your website so fans can easily find and follow all your events in one place.

Add-Ons & Merchandise

Add-ons let you sell extras alongside tickets in the same checkout flow — no second transaction needed. Examples include:

  • Merchandise (T-shirts, hoodies, hats)
  • Meal upgrades or drink packages
  • Parking passes
  • Backstage or VIP experience upgrades
  • Donation amounts

Yes. Each add-on has an optional total stock limit and a max per order setting. When stock runs out, the add-on is automatically hidden or shown as sold out.

Yes. The buyer's confirmation email and receipt include a full itemized breakdown of their order, including all add-ons purchased.

A 3% service fee applies to add-on sales. The standard $0.75 fee applies only to tickets.

Tax & Compliance

Yes. You can configure Canadian federal (GST/HST) and provincial tax rates for your event. Bloom automatically calculates and displays the tax at checkout, and the tax is included in your payout. Tax amounts are shown on receipts and available in your transaction reports.

It is your responsibility to register for the appropriate tax numbers with the CRA and remit taxes collected. Bloom provides the tooling to collect and report — not to remit on your behalf.

Yes. Every buyer receives an itemized receipt showing the ticket subtotal, applicable taxes (labelled by type), platform fee, and grand total.

Yes. Your transaction history export (CSV) includes per-transaction federal and provincial tax amounts, making it straightforward to reconcile and remit taxes.

For Ticket Buyers

No. Buying a ticket requires only your name and email address — no account, no password, no app download needed.

Tickets are emailed to you immediately after purchase as a PDF attachment with a unique QR code. You can show the QR code directly from your phone or print it out.

If you don't see your ticket within a few minutes, check your spam/junk folder.

Refund policies are set by the event organizer. If you need a refund, contact the organizer directly (their contact information is on the event page). If you can't reach them, contact Bloom support and we'll help mediate.

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. Bloom never stores your card details — they go directly to Stripe's PCI-compliant servers.

Ticket transferability depends on the event organizer's policy. If the event allows transfers, you can simply forward your ticket PDF to the new attendee — the QR code will work for whoever presents it at the door. Some events require name-matched tickets; check the event page for details.
